Future travel credits (FTC) may be issued when you decide to cancel a ticket. The unused portion of the ticket will be available as a credit and can be used for future bookings.
Tickets Eligible for Future Travel Credits
Reservations that were booked directly through Flair on flyflair.com, either on the website or through our Contact Centre, are eligible for Future Travel Credits.
Tickets Not Eligible for Future Travel Credits
Tickets made through a third-party booking agency or travel agent and reservations that the passenger forfeited are not eligible for Future Travel Credits.
Future Travel Credit Expiry
Most Future Travel Credits are valid for 24 months from the original booking date unless otherwise stated.
For example:
- A customer booked their flight on September 15th, 2024, for travel on November 27th, 2024.
- The customer voluntarily cancels their reservation on October 12th, 2024.
- The customer’s Future Travel Credit will expire on September 15th, 2026.
Future Travel Credits Transfers
Future Travel Credits can only be used for the passengers on the original itinerary. They cannot be transferred or combined with other passengers on a new reservation unless otherwise stated at the time of receiving the credit.
How to Use a Future Travel Credit Online
You can book using a future travel credit using the website res.flyflair.com/res (please note that this site differs from our usual "Manage My Booking" site).
Here's how to create a new booking using a future travel credit:
1. Enter the 6-character reservation code where the Future Travel Credit came from and the last name of one of the passengers on the original reservation.
2. Select "+ add a new journey".
3. Enter your desired flight information.
4. Review the booking cost summary, ensure that your Future Travel Credit (reservation credit) is reflected, and then select "confirm & continue".
5. Once you select "confirm & continue", you can customize the booking by adding seats, bags, sporting equipment, or a pet in the cabin (route-dependent). You can also pay the check-in fee or priority boarding.
6. On the "review & pay" page, you can apply your payment card for any balance owing on the new flight. (If your future travel credit covers the entire cost of the new booking, you will not need to enter payment card information.)
Booking Through the Contact Centre Using a Future Travel Credit
If you want to book through the Contact Centre using your future travel credit, the Contact Center transaction fee(s) will apply.
Does a Future Travel Credit Need to Be Used All at Once?
No. If a balance remains, it will remain on the same booking reference number and can be used for additional future flights.
Can a Future Travel Credit be Extended?
No. Once a Future Travel Credit expires, it cannot be extended or reinstated.
Do I Need to Travel Before the Future Travel Credit Expires?
Yes. The travel must be completed before the expiry date.
My Flight Was Booked with a Travel Credit, and Now It's Been Disrupted
If your reservation was made using a Future Travel Credit and the flight is cancelled by Flair, the credit will be returned to the booking as a Future Travel Credit for that booking.
