Identification for Children
Passengers are responsible for obtaining valid travel documents (passport, visa or other required documents) that comply with the entry and exit requirements for domestic and international flights. Since entry and exit requirements may change without notice, please consult the Government of Canada's website at www.travel.gc.ca for more information.

Travel to and from the United States
- Adults, children and infants are required to have a valid passport for travel to and from the United States.
- Please visit the U.S. Department of State website for more information on requirements for travel to the United States.

- It is the responsibility of each passenger to ensure they have the necessary documents for travel.
Travel to and from an International Destination
- Adults, children, and infants must have a valid passport to travel to and from an international destination.
- Each country may have specific travel document requirements, vaccination requirements or health protocols.
- Each passenger is responsible for ensuring they have the necessary documents for travel. Always travel with the proper documentation.
Child Baggage Allowance
When you travel with a child, they will be subject to the baggage allowance associated with their ticket. Fees will apply to strollers, car seats, restraint devices, playpens, and portable highchairs.
At the Airport
We provide a gate-check service for some items, such as strollers, and recommend that passengers bring them through security if it makes their airport journey easier. These items can be gate-checked. However, they are subject to the baggage guidelines and fees associated with their ticket.
Passengers can bring formula and/or breastmilk through security for their child; however, under the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority, they must be 100 ml/100 g (3.4 oz) or less. For more information, please visit their website at What can I bring? - CATSA.
Restrictions when Travelling with Children
All children between the ages of 2 and 12 are eligible for family seating, which is arranged automatically 24 hours before a flight's departure.
Children between 2 and 12 must:
- Be accompanied by an adult 18 years of age or older
- Occupy their own seat on the aircraft
- May not be seated on a lap
Don’t want to wait for your seat assignment?
If you prefer to purchase your seats in advance, this can be done in one of three ways:
- While making your booking on flyflair.com
- Manage My Booking on flyflair.com, or
- By calling our Contact Centre. (Please note the Contact Centre Transaction fee will be charged on top of the applicable seat fee(s))
For a detailed list of our service fees, please visit us at Flair Airlines - Optional Fees and Charges
When travelling with children with only one adult present, we recommend consulting the Government of Canada Travel Guidelines, as Flair, Customs, or Airport security may request additional documentation. For more information, please visit the Government of Canada's website at https://travel.gc.ca/travelling/children/children-travel.
