If passengers plan to travel with a mobility device, we request that they notify Flair at least 48 hours before the flight’s departure. If they have been unable to provide us with 48 hours' notice, we will make our best effort to accommodate their mobility device at the airport.

Mobility Device Requirements
Each passenger with reduced mobility is permitted one medically required wheelchair or mobility device at no charge, provided the mobility device meets the applicable size, weight, and battery restriction requirements.
Recreational scooters are not permitted.
Flair recommends passengers:
- Review their mobility device owner's manual to ensure they know how the mobility device should be prepared for transport.
- Bring their mobility device owner’s manual with them to the airport.
- Provide detailed instructions on preparing the mobility device for transport should the mobility device have undergone any modifications.
Flair strictly adheres to the individual manufacturer’s recommendation for proper disassembly and stowage as described in the owner's manual.
Size and Weight Allowances for Mobility Devices
The maximum weight and dimensions of a mobility device are:
- 136 kg (300 lbs)
- 84 cm x 122 cm (33 in x 48 in)
Please be aware that various cargo door configurations may require a passenger's mobility device to be turned onto its side to fit through the entrance. If a passenger's mobility aid cannot be turned on its side for loading and unloading, we cannot accept it for transport.
Battery Requirements for Mobility Devices
Depending on the type of battery that a passenger's mobility device uses, the battery may need to be removed. Please be aware that if a battery cannot be deactivated or disconnected, it will be denied transportation. For more information, please visit Flair Airlines - Restricted and Prohibited Items.
Things to Consider
When travelling with a mobility device, passengers should consider the following:
- What are the dimensions of the mobility device?
- What is the weight of the mobility device?
- Does the mobility device have any detachable items that should be brought into the aircraft's cabin to avoid damage?
-
Does the mobility device operate using a battery? If yes:
- Is the battery removable?
- What type of battery is used? Examples include spillable (wet-cell), non-spillable (sealed lead acid), & lithium.
