We accept valid emotional support dogs* on domestic flights (within Canada) for no additional charge. To travel with an emotional support dog, you must meet all requirements.

Eligible Routes
We accept valid emotional support dogs on domestic flights (within Canada) for no additional charge.
Emotional support dogs cannot travel to the United States, Mexico, Jamaica, or The Dominican Republic.
Advance Notification
We require 96 hours or more notice before a flight’s departure to book an emotional support dog on a reservation. If we are notified less than 96 hours in advance, we will make our best effort to accommodate the passenger and the emotional support dog at the airport.
Required Documentation
Flair requires the following documentation to accept an emotional support dog for travel:
- A letter from the passenger's physician or medical health professional, dated within one year of travel, advising that the passenger requires an emotional support dog to accommodate their disability.

A veterinary certificate that includes the following:
- Identifies the specific emotional support dog by name and breed
- Identifies the person with a disability who relies on that dog as an emotional support dog

Attests that the emotional support dog is:
- healthy enough to travel
- free from contagious diseases, ticks, and fleas
- current on its vaccinations
- States whether the veterinarian has any knowledge of inappropriate behaviour exhibited by the emotional support dog, including aggressive behaviour, excessive whining, barking, or causing injury to others
Onboard Requirements
Passengers travelling with an emotional support dog must follow the following conditions:
- Emotional support dogs must remain in their kennel under the seat in front of the passenger for the duration of their flight.
- Emotional support dogs must fit comfortably in an appropriate soft-sided animal kennel.

The soft-sided kennel must fit within the following dimensions:
- Maximum size of 41cm x 23cm x 25cm or 16" x 9" x 10"
- Maximum weight of 23 lbs or 10.5 kg

Reminder: Passengers wishing to book or register their emotional support dog with Flair must fill out the Emotional Dog Registration Form and email it to Flair at accessibility@flyflair.com more than 96 hours before the flight's departure.
Animal Relief Areas
Most Canadian airports have pet relief areas. Please consult the airport's website for their locations.
*This service is reserved for persons with disabilities. If a passenger does not have a disability, making false, fictitious, or fraudulent statements that they do may be determined to be a federal crime and can impact their ability to book future flights.
