Assistance Available
When a passenger requests wheelchair assistance, Flair can assist with:
- Pre-boarding assistance and locating the passenger's seat. Please note that passengers must be present at the time of the pre-boarding call. Once general boarding begins, passengers may be required to board after other passengers.
- Transferring between a mobility device and the passenger's seat
- Storing and retrieving of the passenger's items & carry-on baggage
- An individualized safety briefing and demonstration for the passenger
- A description of the aircraft's layout, including washrooms, exits, and the location and operation of any controls at the passenger's seat.
Wheelchair Options
Wheelchair assistance for distances
This type of assistance includes:
- bringing passengers from the check-in counter to the departure gate in the departure city
- bringing passengers from the arrival gate to the baggage collection area in the arrival city
Wheelchair assistance for distances – no stairs
This assistance includes:
- bringing passengers from the check-in counter to the departure gate in the departure city
- bringing passengers from the arrival gate to the baggage collection area in the arrival city
- alternate ways to board and disembark the aircraft, should stairs be involved, by way of a lift or alternate measures
Wheelchair assistance for passengers who are partially or wholly immobile
This assistance includes:
- bringing passengers from the check-in counter to the departure gate in the departure city
- bringing passengers from the arrival gate to the baggage collection area in the arrival city
- boarding and disembarking the aircraft using an aisle chair or alternate lift mechanism
How to Request a Wheelchair
Passengers can add a wheelchair to their reservation in the following ways:
- while making their booking online at flyflair.com
- using our online Manage My Booking tool
- during their online check-in
- by calling our Contact Centre at 1-833-711-2333
Please note that when adding a wheelchair request to a reservation on our website or using the Manage My Booking tool, they are required to contact Flair's Medical Desk to review their travel needs.
